“Amie” Kozan has a diverse legal background, having practiced under both the civil law and common law for some of the region’s largest firms. She has experience in a variety of legal fields, including media law, appeals and complex litigation. Prior to her legal career, she worked in the fields of journalism and media relations.

A solutions-oriented, strategic thinker devoted to providing the highest level of legal service to clients, she shares the Stanton & Gasdick philosophy that effective legal representation requires serving the client’s interests with professionalism, zeal and a commitment to ethics. Margaret E. Kozan was born in Baton Rouge, LA. She was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 1995 and the Florida Bar in 1999. She began working with Stanton & Gasdick in 2008 and became a partner in 2010.

Ms. Kozan received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana State University where she majored in journalism and history. She received her Juris Doctor in 1995 from the Louisiana State University School of Law where she served as Senior Editor of the Louisiana Law Review and graduated in the top ten percent of her class. She is a member of the Order of the Coif and the Louisiana Law School Hall of Fame. Upon graduating from law school, she was selected to serve as a federal judicial clerk to the Honorable Frank J. Polozola, United States District Court Judge for the Middle District of Louisiana.

Ms. Kozan is a member of the bars of both Florida and Louisiana. She is also admitted to practice in the federal courts of the Middle District of Florida and the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana.
